About Master's Voice
Doctrinal Statement - Mission Statement - About the Group
If we could just get a glimpse of what our life and our impact on this world could be if we would simply say "yes" to God every day, it would probably shock us. Unfortunately, an age-old question has been "if we believe what we say we believe, why aren't we more urgent about telling others about Christ?" Well, since 1995, Master's Voice has been saying "yes." These four men and their families have accepted and embraced the calling to preach and sing this amazing, life-changing truth of Jesus Christ until all know. So many sacrifices have been made by these families, and though we know it doesn't go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, we would still covet your prayers that MV would remain firm in our motivations, sure of our calling, faithful to our Redeemer, above reproach and burdened to let every facet of our lives to point people toward the cross of our Lord. Ricky Capps – Tenor
The one constant for Master’s Voice through the years has been their tenor. Master’s Voice sings higher and with more energy than any group out there, and you can’t do that without a legitimate tenor. God has blessed this man with a faithfulness that has kept Master’s Voice together. Ricky Capps definitely has become the personality of the group. His compassion, integrity and crazy sense of humor have become staples in what causes Master’s Voice to thrive.
Ricky and Sheena were married in June of 2006. They have no children yet, but hope to change that soon. “We are gonna start with a goldfish and work our way up to a child,” says Ricky.
“Sheena is the most amazingly beautiful woman in the world. She is the real hero for Master’s Voice. She allows me to do what God has called me to. It is a miracle every week that God grants me grace to leave this girl at home while we travel.” …Ricky Capps

Jonathan Drew – Lead
“Drew” has been the lead singer for 4 years now. Though comparisons have been made with gospel greats who have preceded him, once you hear Jonathan in person, there really is no comparison. Whether he is vocally ill, or 100%, his consistency on the stage is stronger than anyone who has ever held a microphone. Master’s Voice is blessed to have always had vocalists in the upper echelon, but none are better than this man who was born to sing.
Drew will marry Tiffany Hile this summer. She has already enhanced his already sterling ministry. We are excited for what God holds in store for this couple. |
Joey Johnson - Baritone
Joey is, undoubtedly, one of the most talented baritones in Southern Gospel. Raised a pastor’s son, there is plenty of “preach” in this man of God. Joey simply embodies what professionalism is. God has gifted this man with a spectacular ability to communicate exactly what is needed.
Joey is the proud father of 4 wonderful kids. Abby, 10, Jonah, 9, Jarrod, 8, and Jackson, 3. Joey and his wife, Amy, have been happily married for 11 years. She is the definition of what a minister’s wife should be. This is definitely the All-American family.
